Grant Batson

Grant began woodworking with his father as a child and, at the age of 15, he built his first guitar. After college, he threw his passions for art, sculpting, music and woodwork into one, becoming a luthier (guitar-maker) with his brother, Cory. Together, the brothers designed and developed an extremely innovative acoustic guitar that continues to captivate guitar enthusiasts worldwide.

In 2011, Grant turned the business over to his brother and immediately immersed himself into the work of a newfound passion, pipe-making. Having smoked a pipe for 17 years, he had often thought of making one. Now, under the guidance of world-renowned pipe-maker, Todd M. Johnson, he’s producing a body of work that’s pleasing even the most judicious pipe enthusiasts.
